Banking details

An employee's banking details are required, because E·BIZI Pay builds your bank file from them. A wrong digit here is a payment that bounces, or one that lands in someone else's account.

What is required

Bank name, bank account type, account holder name and account number are all required. You cannot save an employee without them.

Check them against a bank statement, or a screenshot from the employee, rather than a number read out over the phone.

The branch code fills itself in

Choosing the bank fills in its universal branch code. Most South African banks use one universal code for every branch, so this is usually right without touching it.

Change it if this person's branch differs. It is not one of the required fields, so a blank one does not stop you saving.

The account holder can be someone else

The account holder name is whose name is on the account. It does not have to match the employee, and paying into a spouse's or parent's account is common.
