An employee is missing from the payroll
Someone you expect to see on the Payroll screen is not there. Here is what to check, in the order that finds it fastest.
Look under Archived employees
Go to Employees and switch the dropdown at the top right from Current employees to Archived employees.
Anyone removed permanently is there. That is the answer most of the time, and it is worth ruling out first because it takes five seconds.
Check whether they were removed for this run only
Someone taken off with Just this payrun disappears from the open month but stays under Current employees, so the list looks normal and the payroll does not.
They come back on their own when you confirm the month. There is no restore to find. See end an employee's employment.
Check which month you are on
The payroll screen shows the open period only. Someone who left in June is correctly absent from August, and correctly present in June.
Open Payroll history at the foot of the screen and expand the month you actually mean. A confirmed month is a snapshot of who was on it at the time, so it will not gain people later either. See payroll history.
Check you are in the right company
If you run more than one company through E·BIZI, the company switcher at the foot of the sidebar decides which payroll you are looking at, and it does not change what the screen says about itself.
An employee added to one company will never appear in another. See switch companies and launch your apps.
Someone added after you confirmed lands in the next month
Adding an employee puts them on the open period. If you confirmed the month first and added them afterwards, they belong to the new month, and the month you were finishing does not include them.
That is not fixable in the closed month. Instead, pay them their arrears in the open one, as an income line, so the payslip shows what it is for. See earnings and deductions.
They were added before you signed in
E·BIZI Pay lets you try it out without an account, and an employee added that way lives in your browser, not in your company. Signing in afterwards does not carry them across.
If someone only ever existed during a trial session on another device or another browser, they were never saved. Add them again. See add an employee.
Their pay is missing rather than the person
If they are on the screen but their gross is zero or much lower than it should be, they are not missing, their figures are. See my payroll totals look wrong.
