Connect E·BIZI Papers to your AI assistant
You can add the E·BIZI Papers connector to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, and then ask your assistant to make a document, send it for signature or change a template without leaving the chat. You install nothing. You paste one web address and sign in.
The connector acts as you. It can do what you can do in E·BIZI Papers, in the companies you already belong to, and nothing more.
The connector address
Every assistant asks for the same address:
https://papers.ebizi.co.za/mcp
Use it exactly as written, including /mcp at the end. The connector speaks MCP (Model
Context Protocol), which is the standard these assistants use to talk to other products.
You do not need to know more about it than that.
Add it in Claude
Open Settings in Claude and go to Connectors. Choose Add custom connector,
give it a name such as E·BIZI Papers, paste the connector address and choose Add.
Claude shows the connector with a Connect button. Choose it and sign in (see sign in). Menu names move around between Claude versions. Look for custom connectors, or for adding a connector by its address.
Add it in ChatGPT
In ChatGPT, open Settings and go to Connectors. Custom connectors sit behind developer mode, so open Advanced settings and switch on Developer mode first.
Then create a new connector, name it E·BIZI Papers, paste the connector address and
choose Create. ChatGPT sends you to sign in (see sign in). Which plans can
add custom connectors is up to OpenAI, so if the option is missing, check your plan
before suspecting E·BIZI.
Add it in Cursor
In Cursor, open Settings, go to Tools & MCP and choose Add custom MCP. Cursor
opens its mcp.json file. Add the connector there:
{
"mcpServers": {
"papers": {
"url": "https://papers.ebizi.co.za/mcp"
}
}
}
Save the file. Cursor lists the connector with a prompt to connect. Choose it and sign in (see sign in).
Sign in
The assistant opens the normal E·BIZI sign-in page in your browser. Sign in with your usual E·BIZI account, the same one you use for E·BIZI Works and E·BIZI Papers. Then approve the connection and go back to the assistant.
There is no separate password and no key to copy. The connector never creates or shows an API key, so nothing secret ends up in your chat history.
Choose a company
If your account has one E·BIZI Papers company, the assistant uses it without asking. If you have several, ask the assistant to list your companies and tell it which one to use.
Check which company the assistant says it is working in before you approve anything.
Choose an environment
Making a document, sending something for signature, and publishing a template all need an environment, such as a test one or your live one. The assistant needs you to name it. If you are not sure which to use, ask it to list your environments.
What the assistant can do
Ask in plain words and the assistant picks the right action. It can:
- list your companies and environments
- create, edit, import from Word, publish, promote, roll back and delete templates
- make a document from a template and give you the file
- manage fragments, images and other assets, and fonts
- create, send, void and delete signing requests, and get the signed document
- manage webhooks, and show your usage and the audit log
Anything the assistant changes is recorded in the audit log as coming from the connector, with the assistant's name.
Confirmations for risky actions
Sending, voiding, deleting, publishing, promoting and rolling back can't be undone quietly. The connector marks these actions as risky, so your assistant asks you to approve each one before it runs (Claude does). Read the prompt before you approve: check the company, the environment and the template it names. Decline and nothing changes.
Some assistants let you switch off approval prompts. Keep them on for this connector.
Large files
A file comes back inside the chat when it is up to about 5 MB. Anything bigger arrives as a download link instead, which opens while you are signed in to E·BIZI. Uploads through the assistant are capped too, at about 5 MB (10 MB for images and other assets), so for a larger file use E·BIZI Papers in the browser.
Stop the connector
Remove the connector from your assistant and it can no longer reach E·BIZI Papers. In Claude and ChatGPT that is the connector's
Disconnect or Remove option. In Cursor, delete the papers entry from mcp.json.
